OVERTIME PAYOvertime pay is the extra pay employers are required by the FLSA to pay to covered, nonexempt employees for the hours they work in excess of 40 in a workweek. Overtime pay must be computed at one and one-half times the employee’s regular rate of pay. Extra pay for overtime hours worked may also be called an "overtime premium" payment. |
